High quality gin Beefeater is the only premium London Dry Gin to be distilled in London. It was created by pharmacist James Burrough in 1820 and named it after the keepers of the Tower of London. In 1669, the Grand Duke of Tuscany visited England and said that the guards received large rations of beef from the court daily and that they could be called "Beefeaters". It is easily identifiable by the figure of one of the guards on the front transparent label, in the background is the Tower of London. The taste of gin is very fresh, dry and citrus, balanced with tones of caramel. The color is clear and pure in a colorless bottle. It is made from pure grain alcohol and distilled exclusively with natural plant ingredients. It is sold in more than 170 countries around the world.
